Dragon UHMWPE pipe as tailings return water transport pipeline

This is an application of Dragon’s uhmwpe pipes  as return water transport pipeline in Chengde Iron mine. Total length 1800m, size OD530 WT20.

Tailings return water, which is the water recovered from tailings storage facilities after mineral processing, typically contains various constituents. Its composition can vary widely depending on the type of ore being processed and the methods used. Common components include:

1. **Metals and Minerals**: Elevated levels of metals such as copper, lead, zinc, arsenic, and others, depending on the ore.

2. **Chemicals**: Residual chemicals used in processing, like reagents (e.g., flotation agents), cyanide (in gold processing), or acids.

3. **Suspended Solids**: Fine particles of ore and other materials that remain suspended in the water.

4. **pH Levels**: Often acidic, particularly in sulfide ore processing, which can lead to acid mine drainage issues.

5. **Dissolved Solids**: Salts and other dissolved substances that can affect water quality.

6. **Organic Compounds**: Depending on the site, there may be organic contaminants from various sources.

Tailings return water can cause scaling and corrosion to conventional steel pipe or HDPE pipes.

UHMWPE pipe, with its super anti-scaling property, is used in this case for a long term reliable return water pipeline.
