How UHMWPE pipes are connected?

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, UHMWPE, UHMW PE, is a linear polyethylene resin. UHMWPE pipe, as a new material used at mining slurry transportation, its connection method is much easier, compared with HDPE pipes, PE100 pipes, rubber lined steel pipes.

UHMWPE pipe has steel flanges equipped with it once the pipe is finished flanging heating process. The steel flanges are at back of uhmwpe stub :

When connect uhmwpe pipe with each, clean the uhmwpe stub surface, then align the uhmwpe pipe stubs at axial direction, use suitable screws to fasten the steel flanges directly. There is no need of gasket, uhmwpe stub is sufficient to be used as function of gasket.
