Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a kind of engineering thermoplastics with more than 3 million viscosity-average molecular weight. It differs from PE standard grades in its very high degree of polymerization. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene pipe has superior performance over conventional HDPE pipe such as very high wear resistance, impact resistance, intrinsically self-lubricating, anti-adhesion, low temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance.
UHMWPE pipe has excellent wear resistance, compare with the traditional dredging steel pipe, its conveying flow is 4 times than steel pipe (it means the life time is 4 times than steel pipe), can effectively reduce the pipe replacement frequency and save the maintenance cost in the process of construction. Because of low roughness, 20% energy will be saving than the steel pipe when running, reduce the operating cost. Light weight, strong flexibility,can greatly reduce the cost of installation, improve the comprehensive benefit of construction.

1. Abrasion resistance – UHMWPE pipes have excellent abrasion resistance providing long life in abrasive slurry applications
2. 5x lower surface roughness (ISO 8295)
3. Increased temperature capability (particularly in the lower range), capable of -70 to +80 deg C operation

5. Anti-aging agent reduce UV degradation by comparison and otherwise increases design life

7. Formed flanges, allowing for clean alignment. Mn16 inserts used at flange end to reduce turbulence down the pipe or bend

10. Adders can be provided that make UHMWPE flameproof (allowing for minimal degradation in environments where this is a factor, UHMWPE will still ignite at 300 deg C, but will immediately self-rectify)
11. Lighter and more durable, allowing for heavily reduced installation costs as large excavation and crane equipment will no longer be required
12. Unlike other materials, UHMWPE is self-lubricating (part of why it is used as a ball material for hip joint replacement)
